Pumpkin Patches!

This past Sunday, we made the trip to two different pumpkin patches! Last year, we took Chloe to Uncle Shuck's in Dawsonville, but she was only 6 months old. So, this year really seemed like her first "pumpkin patch experience" :) We decided to make the haul up to Burt's Farm for the first time . Neither Jeremy or I had ever been there before, but we always hear great things about it. Minus the long car ride and traffic coming in, it was awesome! Chloe absolutely loved all the pumpkins, and couldn't get her hands on enough of them! :)

This was the first pumpkin Chloe saw when we arrived, and she ran to pick it up. Daddy had to help her lift it...even though it looked small, it was actually pretty heavy.

We couldn't believe how many HUGE pumpkins they had for sale. Chloe enjoyed tapping on them and running around them.

Where's the stem???

They had all kinds of mini pumpkins, squash, gourds and indian corn. Chloe loved picking it all up. Even though she had never seen anything like them before, she wanted to touch EVERYTHING!

Fun on the tractor with Daddy!

Our little family :)

On the ride home, we stopped at Uncle Shuck's since it wasn't too crowded. Uncle Shuck's has the cutest little toddler area with a mini corn maze, mini cut-outs for photo ops, and a big corn shaped growth chart!

The mini maze was super cute, but a tad bit muddy from all the rain we've had lately!

2+ feet of cuteness!

For the ride home, we bought grilled corn, boiled peanuts and 3 more mini pumpkins for Chloe. She lasted maybe 5 minutes in the car before sacking out :)

We had such a great day. It is always so neat to see Chloe's eyes light up as she discovers new things for the first time!

Dedication!

On Sunday, Sept. 20th, we had Chloe's parent-child dedication at our church, Crosspointe. It was the sweetest little ceremony and we were so thankful that all of Chloe's aunts, uncles, grandparents and almost all of her great grandparents were able to attend. The ceremony was a time of prayer for Chloe, and a time for Jeremy and I to dedicate her and ourselves to the Lord, with the promise of raising her to know and love Him.

Chloe on her "big day":

Daddy was dancing with her in the lobby of our church to cheer her up (this girl is not a fan of crowds :)

Thank you to everyone who came to be there for our family. It was such a special day and meant so much to us!

Pigtails!

Just a cute little something to share...Chloe is now wearing pigtails! :) I have tried several times before to put her hair in pigtails, but the back would never reach. Now, all of her hair reaches and she looks so much older to me with her hair pulled back! I can't believe how fast our sweet girl is growing up...she will be 17 months old a week from today!

Just a random Tuesday morning...

...and I have a little fairy princess to watch tv and eat breakfast with :) Chloe has started bringing me her tutus, wands, hats and tiaras. She likes me to put them on first, and then she wants to wear it. She is starting to get her own little personality, and likes/dislikes and its so much fun to watch. I think we have a girlie-girl on our hands..... and, I have to say, I'm loving it! :)

Splish, Splash!

Chloe recently got a water table from her great grandparents, and she absolutely LOVES it. We have really been enjoying it over the last couple of weeks, especially now that the weather is cooler. Every morning, Chloe looks out the window onto the back porch and points at the table. I think she'd play in it several times a day if we'd let her! Thank you, Momom and Paw-Paw! :)

Here she is, seeing it for the first time. Very anxious to get her little hands on it!

Daddy's Birthday and WALKING!!! :)

As usual, I'm way behind on my blogging again and need to play catch up! I need to go back about 2-3 weeks because we had some pretty fun things happening around our house that I need to document :)

Chloe took her first steps on July 1st, Jeremy's 31st birthday was on July 14th, and literally by July 15th Chloe was walking across the house!

For Jeremy's birthday, he and I were able to get out to Eclipse Di Luna for dinner and then to a movie by ourselves. Jeremy's brother, Joshua, came by for a while to visit, and Jeremy's Mom came to watch Chloe for the evening for us. When Jeremy got home from work, Chloe was going wild around the house with her little car/walker. She kept wanting Jeremy and Josh to hold her fingers and walk her everywhere. Even though she could take several steps on her own , she knew she could go faster with a little help ;) Literally, the very next day she was walking all over the house. It amazed me how quickly the transition went.

It was a beautiful day, so we thought we'd get a few pictures outside, too:

Since we got home late that evening and Chloe was already in bed, we decided wait to do cake and presents the next night when we could all be together.
Here's Jeremy with his mini Carvel birthday cake:
Chloe was very tired by the time we got to give Daddy his gifts, but she still loved helping him open them!

Happy Birthday, Jeremy! Thank you for being such an amazing husband and Daddy to our precious girl. We are so blessed and thankful for the wonderful gift of you!

Fun in the Sun

Chloe has made a few trips to the pool this summer. Most were successful, but she is still not exactly a "water bug!" She has never really liked being in water, but she is slowly becoming more and more comfortable with it - just as long as Mommy and/or Daddy aren't out of reach :) Here are a couple of pictures from our last trips to the Lake Club pool at Lake Oconee.

Day 1 (at first, there were tears involved):

then we waded around and felt better about the situation :)

yay! a smile :)

She was happiest playing with her sand toys right outside the pool.

Chloe and Uncle Taylor relaxing after the outing :)

Day 2: She got in the water for a little while, but spent most of the day playing around the pool.

stopping for a water break ....

... but decides she'd rather have Mommy and Daddy's drinks instead :)

sacked out in Daddy's arms on the way home :)
