Who's that baby in the mirror?
After her bath, I always set Chloe up on the counter to put lotion on her and dress her. We have the same routine every day, and just recently, she has become very fond of her reflection in the mirror. She touches it, smiles at it and talks to it like its another baby. I always tell her it's "baby Chloe, " but I'm not sure it's clicking just yet :) I just loved these pictures and wanted to share them with everyone. Hope you all had a happy Monday!

A Pafford play date!
Last Saturday, my best friend Megan was babysitting her little niece, Carter, for the day. Megan invited Chloe and I over to Carter's house to play that afternoon. Carter is almost 2 and is absolutely precious! She showed us some of her toys and videos and definitely kept us entertained! :) It was so sweet to see the two girls together! That night, Jeremy came to the house and Megan's husband, Dan, cooked out for us so we could have some adult time too! Thank you Megan, Dan and Carter for having us over! We got some pretty cute pictures while we were there that we wanted to share!

She's standing!
Chloe has finally learned to pull herself up to stand! What's funny is that once she's standing she starts fussing because she's not sure how to get back down! Then after a few seconds, she'll decide to start squatting down and fall on her bottom. Her Daddy is very proud of the fact that the very first time she stood up was on him. He was sitting on the floor with her and she used his arms and chest to pull herself up....and then she looked at him and said "da da!" It definitely made his year! He's thankful he still gets to see some of these "firsts" since he's not home with her most of the day. There is nothing sweeter than watching Daddy with his little girl! She truly adores him!

Beach Trip!
This past weekend, we traveled to Seacrest Beach to visit Jeremy's parents and grandma, and to run in the Seaside half marathon. Seacrest Beach is by Rosemary Beach between Destin and Panama City, so it's in a great location with lots of things to do! Jeremy's parents just got their second beach home there and were actually in the process of moving into it during our visit. This was the first time we had seen this home and it is absolutely beautiful. They rent the homes during peak travel season and as much as they can, and stay at the beach during the off season and whenever it's not being rented. They've been there since New Years, so we were thrilled to finally see them again!
Sunday, Jeremy and I ran in the annual Seaside half marathon. Unfortunately, it ended up being the coldest/windiest day for the race EVER. It was 37 degrees with 22 mph winds and 35 mph gusts! We were FREEZING! Although the weather provided quite a challenge, it was really a great run - a very flat and fast course, and beautiful scenery. Jeremy and I both did really well and I actually ended up winning for my age group. Wahoo! I like to attribute this to the weather - I could not get indoors fast enough ;) The best part is that the race is sponsored by Vera Bradley, and all runners get to choose one of her tote bags to take home!
We stayed until Monday afternoon and were sad to have to leave. We had a great time visiting, catching up, grilling out, eating out, helping with the move and just being at the beach! Even though we were busy all weekend, something about the palm trees and the sound of the ocean is still relaxing! Thank you Mom and Terry for a wonderful weekend! Hopefully we can come visit again soon! :)

A fun lunch date
On Thursday last week, our sweet friends Jenica and Owen came to our house for lunch. Our families always joke that we are arranging a marriage for Chloe and Owen, so it was cute to see them together. Chloe doesn't see many toddlers, so she was just in awe of Owen. He had brought his Matchbox cars and was telling her about them. The picture of Chloe looking at him while he showed her his toys is so sweet.
At one point, Owen decided to try out Chloe's sunglasses and Bumbo chair. We are still laughing at how he was able to get his legs through it with the TRAY ON! He is too cute!
Thank you Jenica and Owen for spending the afternoon with us. Let's do it again soon!
