Happy Birthday, Chloe Bug!

Tuesday (April 28th) was Chloe's first birthday! Even though we had her big party last Sunday, we still wanted to do a little party with just our family of 3 to celebrate on her actual birthday. We took her out to dinner, to Toys R Us, and home for cake and ice cream. Since there wasn't an audience this time, we got a lot more smiles, laughs and clapping out of her! She was so cute! ;)

Jeremy and I were talking about her birth and remembering all the little details on the way to dinner that night. I still cannot believe our baby is 1! It's amazing to think that just over a year ago we didn't even know her yet, and now we can't begin to imagine our lives without her. We have loved every minute of the last year...watching her smile, laugh, learn and grow has been so amazing. God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams with this precious little girl. Though it is bittersweet that she is quickly becoming a "big girl", we are so excited for the experiences that await us in the year ahead! Happy Birthday, Chloe Bug! Mommy and Daddy love you!!!

Chloe's 1st Birthday Party!

This past Sunday, April 26th, we had Chloe's first birthday party at our house! It was so much fun! Chloe was very reserved and not sure about the whole thing. I knew she would be, just because she's always been so timid and shy- it often takes her a while to "warm up" to people. I think she was overwhelmed by so many new and familiar faces all being in our house at the same time! Mommy had to hold her throughout the entire party! She was so cute though. I think her favorite parts of the party were her balloons and of course, the icing on her cake! She wanted me to feed it to her on a spoon. We also gave her a cupcake to see how she would do with that, but she really just wanted the paper cup it was in. It was such a fun day, and she got so many sweet clothes and toys from all our family and friends. What a lucky little girl! We are so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful people to celebrate this time with us.

Easter Weekend!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend this year! Chloe and I went and stayed with my parents at Lake Oconee on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights while Jeremy was at the Masters and in Athens for a bachelor party. Friday Afternoon, Mom, Dad and I took Chloe outside to try and get some pictures of her. They turned out pretty cute!

Here's a small sample of the 80 or so week took! As we always say, this child is well "documented!"










Saturday, Reynolds Plantation had a big Easter egg hunt for the kids in the neighborhood. We decided to take Chloe in a wagon for her first egg hunt! I pulled her around and threw eggs in her basket quickly because the whole event lasted MAYBE five minutes! It was so cute watching all the little kids scrambling around. Chloe loved the plastic eggs and wouldn't stop putting them in her mouth! Daddy surprised her by driving all the way out to the lake from Athens to see her in her first egg hunt. It was so sweet of him to come. He was there for only about 20 minutes and then headed back to Athens for the rest of the bachelor party events.

On Sunday morning, Chloe woke up and Mom and Dad gave her an Easter basket. She loved everything in it and, of course, had to see how it all tasted :) The rest of the day was spent with family. We traveled up to my Grandma's house in Snellville for a late lunch, and then out to Alpharetta to Jeremy's parents house for dinner. Yes, it was definitely a full (but very yummy) day of eating! We hope your Easter was as enjoyable as ours! :)
