A Letter to My Daughters

My sweet girls,

I cannot believe another month has gone by!  We have been so busy lately, but not even one day has passed that I haven't stopped to simply be thankful for the both of you.  Your Daddy and I were talking tonight about how much we love having two daughters.  The two of you tell us all the time how much you love being sisters.  You have grown so incredibly close in your short 2 years and 5 months together.  It has been so neat to watch.  Of course you have times when you are fighting over toys or simply not getting along, but for the majority of the day you are best little buddies.  Lately you have been communicating your frustrations to each other and trying to work out your differences without me.  Though usually unsuccessful, it is the funniest and cutest thing to watch.  One of my favorite things right now is to see how you randomly think about each other and miss each other throughout the day.  Chloe, you will say things like, "My sister is so cute.  She is so cute, I just want to kiss her up!"  And while you are at school during the day, Madeline will ask me, "I go pick my Toey up now?"  You tell each other that you "love your sister" at least once a day, and you are already talking about the days when you will go to school together and finally be able to spend the night in each other's rooms.  It makes my heart so full and makes me so excited for the future. I cannot wait to watch the two of you grow up together!  I hope and pray you will always be this close.

I love you,
Mommy

P52- Weeks 9 & 10

Week 9 (Feb.25 - Mar.3) - Connection.

This week, Chloe had asked me if she could "dress Chip up."  She was all decked out in her tutu, tiara and pearls, and Madeline wasn't interested in participating that day.  I told her that Chip doesn't really like clothes, but that she could probably put a crown on him if she wanted.  I, of course, set them up in some good lighting since I knew it would be a great picture for this week's theme.  She took one of her little tiaras and put it on his head.  He was so sweet with her, but the poor dog was looking at her like "Really!?!???!!"  It was so cute!!

Week 10 (Mar.4 - Mar.10) - A Bad Habit.

My sweet Madeline is over 2 years old and is still in love with her pacifiers.  Not sure how we'll ever get rid of them....  I'm picturing a bit of a battle coming in my near future.
