We're back :)

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've updated!!! Now that the busy holidays are over, I'm actually going to try and keep up with this blogging thing :) I love reading everyone else's posts...I hope you all enjoy ours.

So much has happened over the last two months, even aside from the holiday celebrations and family gatherings. Chloe got her first two bottom teeth (they came in together), started sitting herself up (by herself from laying down), and finally started crawling! She just turned 9 months old last week, and I seriously thought our girl may never crawl! Up until a couple weeks ago, she hasn't shown any interest in being mobile. We have her a walker and loads of other fun gadgets and toys to chase around, but she's seemed to be content sitting in one spot (or mostly being carried by her Mommy and Daddy). I guess she's just not super curious yet! Her "crawling" is quite entertaining though, as it looks like more of an army crawl right now than anything! We bribe her with toys, beads, and Mommy's necklaces to get her going. Jeremy thinks he's in for it ...the girl already has a passion for jewelry like her mother! If we keep moving the toys back or put them too far away from her, she gets discouraged and buries her face on the floor and cries. It's too cute! The video below is a small sampling of what the last week or so has looked like at the Shaia house :)

I've also posted a few recent pictures of Chloe - our sweet girl is getting big fast! Her 9 month well check-up is on Wednesday. I can't wait to see how much she's grown!

  1. Soooo, sweet! She is beautiful. Grayson will be 8 months on the 12th of Feb. and he is trying to crawl but buries his head and cries when he gets frustrated too (so cute!). Love reading about you all, I need to learn how to do the videos!

  2. I'm so glad you're back! I love the video. She's too cute! She's doing a great job. Her getting discouraged reminds me so much a Mary Elizabeth. Life gets so fun when they become mobile. It opens up a whole new world for them and I think it's actually easier. Y'all are doing a great job. I look forward to watching Chloe grow up on here and hopefully get a chance to meet her one day!

  3. Hi Tara,

I found your blog through Lauren and Jen's blogs! Your daughter is sooo precious! What a little doll! 9 months is a great age! If you feel like checking my little ones out, we have a blog over at www.totsites.com/tot/thegroves.

    Take care!
